Class experience
This class will be an opportunity for girls to chat and socialize with one another. We will meet each week and talk about anything from what happened in our lives last week to what we want to be when we grow up. Each week I will have some fun questions and games for us to play, but the goal is for the students to organically direct the conversation and freely talk. This is a student led class. Socialize with peers and have a space to talk about feelings, experiences, and thoughts.
Paper and something to write with would be helpful. Students may be asked to write in some classes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Because this will be a student led, discussion based class, students may bring up content related to cultural or social matters parents may be sensitive to. I will always guide the conversation to maintain appropriateness and intervene if I feel a student talks about something that is inappropriate. The main purpose of this course is to provide students with a safe environment in which every participant feels comfortable.
