Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn facts about giraffes from a video and discussion and then create a directed drawing by modeling from the teacher.
In my teaching career, I have found that some students like drawing and are confident in their skills. However, there are some students who don't feel that they have the skills to create a good picture. Using directed drawing (which offers step by step directions), children gain confidence in their skills and the pictures they create are awesome!
The learner will need drawing paper, pencils, and crayons or colored pencil. No markers please.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher will model and offer help when needed.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
