Description

Class Experience

In this one time class, the students will listen to The Gingerbread Girl by  Lisa Campbell Ernst.  The students will work on reading fluency as they read the chorus of the story with the teacher.  During the reading, the students will also work on comprehension by discussing characters, setting, and the problems in the story.  The students will talk about the author's purpose for writing this story. 
The students will discuss the characters and if they made good/ bad choices.  The students...

~The students will use their speaking skills to discuss characters, setting, and the problems in the story.
~The students will use their critical thinking skills to discuss if the Gingerbread characters made good/bad choices.
