Gingerbread Story, Slime, and Socializing
In this one-time class, students will work on comprehension and sequencing skills as we discuss the Gingerbread Story. Then students will make gingerbread slime and work on their math skills while socializing!

Description
Class Experience
Students will work on reading comprehension and sequence skills as we listen to the Gingerbread Man story. Then we will make gingerbread slime together and work on math skills together while socializing.
1 file available upon enrollment-Exact measurements will be sent to enrolled students, but slime ingredients include: clear Elmer’s glue (or white glue may be substituted), borax, warm water, gold glitter, allspice seasoning (optional), measuring cups (1 cup and teaspoon/tablespoon). -mixing bowl and paper towels -Students can also bring along a gingerbread person cookie cutter along with items to decorate the gingerbread man/woman (small buttons, googly eyes, chocolate chips, M & M's, candy, pipe cleaners, mini pom pom's, etc.) -Optional-students will be given a printout of a Gingerbread person at enrollment that they may choose to print and bring along to class to decorate. (Students can use this if they don't have ingredients for the slime) OR kids can use playdough instead of making slime -Optional-students can wear a holiday shirt to class if they'd like to.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parent support will be needed making slime. Please note that slime may get on children’s clothes so dress accordingly. :)
