In this class we will learn to fold paper and draw a picture with a surprise! Each step will be demonstrated by the teacher. Teacher will check with students to make sure that everyone is on track. (Please speak up or raise a hand if you need help or have a question.) The teacher will check in with the students during the lesson, to make sure that no one gets left behind. 1. We will fold the paper to prepare for the drawing. ( I will show the steps) 2. Students will begin by drawing a fish with a pencil or a Sharpie. 3. Students will add bubbles or seaweed to the picture 4. Students will open the paper and connect lines and create the "surprise" scary teeth 5. Color the drawing. 6. We will show our art and "scare" each other at the end! (My favorite part!) If time allows, student can try to create another creature, such as a monster, alien or a happy face.
Learning Goals
Students will be introduced to basics of composition and various lines.
Students will practice their fine motor skills.
Students will practice their presentation skills.

White paper (several pieces) We will start with a scary fish, but students might want to try other creatures, if time allows. Markers or Colored pencils Black Fine Point Sharpie
