Are you looking for some extra enrichment or a little brain challenge? And have the opportunity to interact and socialize with friends just like you? If so, this class is just for you! Join Ms. Heather each week as we delve into different puzzles, thinking tasks, and enrichment activities that we will work on together to challenge our minds. This ongoing class's weekly activities will be designed to help gifted, high-level, 2E, and/or neurodivergent learners take their thinking to the next level through critical thinking, problem solving, creative thinking, puzzles, and games while also socializing and interacting with their peers. Activities may include a varied assortment of word or math analogies, logic puzzles, word ladders, math problem solving tasks, lateral thinking challenges, deductive reasoning activities, and/or riddles and brain teasers. Ms. Heather is a certified educator with 20 years teaching experience. I've taught both elementary and middle school, as well as been a gifted education teacher for half of my teaching career. Gifted education is a special passion of mine so many of my classes are tailored towards gifted and/or high-level learners, however I'm happy to work with any student who is interested in learning and growing. My ultimate goal is to create classes and activities which encourage students to step up their thinking with a little bit of challenge, all while having fun in a safe, nurturing, and caring environment.
