Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Ms. Danielle! I am from a beach town in North Carolina. I have been teaching for the last 18 years. I have taught preschool up through 8th grade. I am licensed K-8th grade in several states including Texas, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. I LOVE the energy and enthusiasm that students bring to the classroom. I very much enjoy teaching about science, specifically animal related sciences. I grew up on a dairy farm, so I love to teach from my experiences on the farm. I have 4 children, all of whom are animal obsessed. We have 3 dogs, 5 bearded dragons, 4 leopard geckos, two chameleons, and 3 fish tanks. We also breed and sell ball pythons, so we also have lots of snakes! My house is kind of a zoo! I believe that teaching should be interactive, fun and exciting for both the teacher and students. I love to share my personal experiences in class as well as hear from students on their own interests and experiences. For that reason, many of my lessons are centered around reptiles, which is a subject I have lots of experience in. Bearded dragons are my favorite reptile, and I love sharing what I have learned in owning them, as well as extensively studying them. I also love teaching about animals from the ocean, the Arctic regions, the Rain forest, as well as the African Plain. I have studied animal habitats in depth and love to share my passion for animals with students! I look forward to meeting you in any of my classes that may be interesting to you!
