Description
Class Experience
Learners will improve their knowledge of conducting an experiment. Learners will improve their scientific vocabulary by learning words such as control, hypothesis, and prediction. Learners will improve their measurement skills. Learners will improve their critical thinking skills. Learners will improve their writing skills.
Independent observation of the experiment on their own time is encouraged. I will be checking in through the classroom for anyone that wants to share their observations after class.
1 file available upon enrollmentRequired Materials: 5 gummy bears (5 separate colors if possible) 5 clear containers (clear plastic cups work best) Water Cooking oil White distilled vinegar Salt Liquid of choice (soda, lemon juice, fruit juice, coffee, etc.) Tray (to place cups on) Labels (this can be strips of paper taped to the cups or to the tray) Ruler or measuring tape Pencil or other writing utensil (to record on our recording sheet) Recording sheet (to be printed prior to class)
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
