We will focus on the Greek root word Ology. Students will be provided instruction on and examples of the root word, create a word family using related words, have an opportunity to practice using the root's meaning in multiple ways (handouts, verbal discussion, chat discussion, annotation, drawing, etc.), and learn how to apply this knowledge to deciphering unknown words. #academic As the teacher, I will provide direct instruction with immediate feedback and encouragement as we practice. I strive to engage each child at their level and keep them active and involved throughout the session. NOTE: There is also a 1x weekly course offered where we will work on the a new Greek/Latin root word each week!

Students will improve their understanding of Greek and Latin root words and will be able to apply this information to deciphering unknown words.
