Learners will learn about and analyze a favorite character in the Star Wars saga. Learners will learn what it means to be a hero and the character traits that make a hero. Learners will use critical thinking skills to answer discussion questions on a variety of "What If" scenarios. Learners will learn to have a friendly and respectful discussion with their peers.
I have been teaching for 18 years in elementary education. Not only do I teach character traits, one of the main skills I teach in Reading and English is critical thinking, which is to think more deeply into and beyond the stories or subjects. I'm also very knowledgeable as a Star Wars fanatic and I am absolutely involved in the saga.

There are some dark moments in Luke's story in Star Wars and some tragedies in his life. The themes of good and evil and some mild sci-fi violence run throughout the films.
