In this class, we will examine the life of Anakin Skywalker, covering his entire Jedi/Sith journey. We will learn what made him turn from hero to villain. We will also use critical thinking skills to explore possible "What If" scenarios.

Is Anakin Skywalker one of your favorite heroes turned evil? In this class, we will learn all about the character Anakin Skywalker's life journey and how the force influenced his path in the Star Wars saga. We will also learn about the character traits that made Anakin a hero and eventually turned him into the villain Darth Vader. What would have happened if he wouldn't have chosen to turn to the dark side? We will also explore the possible outcomes of the saga had Anakin had never been born....
Learners will learn about and analyze a favorite character in the Star Wars saga. Learners will learn what it means to be a hero or a villain and the character traits that make a hero or a villain. Learners will use critical thinking skills to answer discussion questions on a variety of "What If" scenarios. Learners will learn to have a friendly and respectful discussion with their peers.
I have been teaching for almost 18 years in elementary education. Not only do I teach character traits, one of the main skills I teach in Reading and English is critical thinking, which is to think more deeply into and beyond the stories or subjects. I'm also very knowledgeable as a Star Wars fanatic and I am absolutely involved in the saga.

There are some very dark moments in Anakin's story in Star Wars and some tragedies in his life. The themes of good and evil and some mild sci-fi violence run throughout the films.
