Learners will learn about and analyze a favorite character in the Star Wars universe. Learners will learn what it means to be a hero and the character traits that make a hero. Learners will use critical thinking skills to answer discussion questions on a variety of "What If" scenarios. Learners will learn to have a friendly and respectful discussion with their peers.
I have been teaching for 18 years in elementary education. Not only do I teach character traits, one of the main skills I teach in Reading and English is critical thinking, which is to think more deeply into and beyond the stories or subjects. I'm also very knowledgeable as a Star Wars fanatic and I am absolutely involved in the saga.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There are some dark moments in Ahsoka’s story in The Clone Wars and Rebels and some tragedies in her life. The themes of good and evil and some mild sci-fi violence run throughout the animated series.
