US Grade 2 - 5
Is Ahsoka Tano one of your favorite Padawan Jedi heroes? In this class, we will learn all about the character Ahsoka Tano’s life journey and how the force influenced her path in the Clone Wars and beyond. We will also learn about the character traits that make Ahsoka a hero. What would have happened if she would have chosen the dark side and followed her master, Anakin? What would have happened if she wouldn’t have left the Jedi Council? We will also explore the possible outcomes of the Clone Wars and Anakin’s path had Ahsoka never been born. After learners have gone through Ahsoka’s full background and history in my lecture, they will engage in an interactive discussion about their thoughts and opinions about the character. They will also use their critical thinking skills to answer discussion questions on "what if" scenarios. Examples of these are, "What if Ahsoka would have chosen the dark side and followed her master, Anakin?” and "What if Ahsoka had never been born?" There will be slides, pictures, and video clips for the students to read and view during the class. The only required experience or knowledge learners should have before attending the class is to be familiar with Ahsoka Tano. It would definitely not hurt them to watch or re-watch the The Clone Wars movie, animated series, and Star Wars Rebels.

I have been teaching for 18 years in elementary education. Not only do I teach character traits, one of the main skills I teach in Reading and English is critical thinking, which is to think more deeply into and beyond the stories or subjects. I'm also very knowledgeable as a Star Wars fanatic and I am absolutely involved in the saga.
