Class Experience

As a former elementary and 6th grade math teacher, I have found that there are several important skills that students should be proficient in in order to be successful in middle school math.

Each class will begin with a review of a skill through either Google Slides or an interactive Nearpod lesson, along with an "I Do, We Do, You Do" succession of practicing the skill.  At the end of each class we will practice the skill by playing Blooket, Kahoot, or Gimkit.

This class is taught in English.

Students will master upper elementary math skills in order to be successful in middle school math.

Homework will be provided for extra practice each week per parent request, but it is not required.

I will provide the activity for class to print out 24 hours prior to the class.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Kahoot
Gimkit
Nearpod
Blooket

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Some classes we may play Blooket to review the skill.  I will provide the link to the website, and students will join with a game code in which I provide.  While students have the option to create a free Blooket account, it is not required to play the game.
