Description

Class Experience

This is a class to teach students to add and subtract positive and negative numbers. We will learn the rules to correctly add and subtract these numbers. Students often do not remember the rules and make careless mistakes in the skill that is a foundation to all Algebra classes.

Students only need to know how to add and subtract counting numbers. I will be teaching them absolute value briefly, since we use that skill when adding and subtracting integers (positive and negative numbers).

Students will learn the basic rules of adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers.

No homework will be assigned.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

No need for parental guidance.

No sources except my own slides.
