Description

Class Experience

Students will learn how to create a general thesis statement as well as a 3pt thesis statement. This specific skill is needed to be successful in all English classes beginning when paragraphs are introduced, all the way through to their college career. 
There is no homework for this one-time course.  Come back for another lesson exploring a different part of writing a paragraph and/or essay. 
Paper Pencil Computer Highlighters (5 different colors) Optional
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The assessment takes place as ongoing.  While instruction is taking place, the student is assessed as they process each skill presented.  Assessment is used for remediation and redirection to ensure your student gets the most from this session. 
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
