Getting Creative with Graphing Coordinates

Students will be taught how to plot points on a coordinate grid. The first week will cover plotting only in the positive number range. I will go over the four different quadrants, and how to move in the x-direction first, and then in the y-direction. The second week will cover plotting with all four quadrants. Learners will be able to complete the graphing on the screen using annotating. The first fifteen minutes they will be able to show the hidden pictures that they found for homework. The next fifteen minutes will introduce and review how to graph the x coordinate before the y coordinate. Then, we will spend fifteen minutes working together on the screen to complete a hidden picture by plotting coordinates. Students will have graphing homework that will also be a hidden picture. Students will do homework on paper and work on the screen in class. This class will show learners how you can make art and find hidden pictures through graphing. Learners can expect a fun, engaging experience where they can bond with others over a fun math topic and build confident in the content area. This class will engage learners and show them that math is fun! This class will also allow learner to show their artistic side with being creative with the hidden pictures they find!
