Description

Class Experience

The main goal of this class is to give students an idea of what it is like to begin to learn the violin and hopefully to enjoy and appreciate the work and technicalities of this beautiful instrument.
Secondly, this class could help you decide if you wish to continue to pursue the instrument.
I have been playing violin and piano for about 20 years. I love both instruments and play for fun in front of audiences. I am glad to help give you a glimpse into the violin world.
Maintain a practice log. Students must practice assigned materials. I will give partial pieces of music.
practice log properly sized violin (can be a rental) bow rosin
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will observe and provide feedback.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Student's may need encouragement when it comes to practicing and time to practice. There will be videos posted into the Outschool classroom for extra support. Students need an instrument and a little support for tuning.
