Participants interact with each other and the teacher. Students will use manipulatives, drawing, games, and expressions and equations to practice addition and subtraction within 20. Learners will solve addition and subtraction word problems, and add and subtract within 20, e.g., by using objects, drawings, expressions, or equations to represent the problem.
State licensed and certified teacher (Illinois); Former Kindergarten teacher

Each learner needs: 1. Writing materials (either paper/pencil, whiteboard/marker, or tablet/stylus) 2. 20 small manipulatives for counting (blocks, beads, dried beans, cubes, etc)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Informal assessment.
