This class is appropriate for students who have completed Kindergarten or Grade 1 experience with math foundations such as count sequence to 100+, using objects to count, writing numbers and expressions, and solving addition and subtraction within...
Learners will solve addition and subtraction word problems, and add and subtract within 20, e.g., by using objects, drawings, expressions, or equations to represent the problem. This class (3 times weekly) is meant to complement school or home school math instruction.
No homework.
Each learner needs: 1. Writing materials (either paper/pencil, whiteboard/marker, or tablet/stylus) 2. Counting cubes or other manipulatives for counting
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
