Class Experience
Students will be assigned weekly photo challenges that will spark their imaginations and test their creative skills. Students are encouraged to inspire each other through their photo creations by sharing the photos they took each week in the classroom so they can discuss them each week. Students will be inspired by a workshop style intro each week which gives them an opportunity to learn creative skills. Then they will learn how to take a specific type of creative photo each class time....
Students will be inspired by a workshop style intro each week which gives them an opportunity to learn creative skills. Then they will learn how to take a specific type of creative photo each class time. They will leave each class inspired and excited to try the challenge.
A photo challenge weekly will be assigned. This should only take about an hour each week depending on how much effort the student uses, also it is not required, but highly suggested.
A camera of any brand or style. I always recommend a digital DSLR camera, however, a phone camera or digital point & shoot camera is fine as well. I just recommend that it be easy for your student to use and something he or she has already used before this class. I do not teach about the camera other than just the basics in this class.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
The teacher uses YouTube to show a few clips of videos to support the student's learning. The videos are embedded in a presentation created by the teacher via Spark/Adobe. Sometimes the videos are also posted in the classroom. No ads are shown during the clips. The videos are age appropriate to speak directly to the learner specifically about the teaching point.
