Do you consider yourself an organized person? Join this one time course to learn how to organize yourself using a daily planner, create folders in your Google Drive, and plan for success. This one time, super small group class is recommended for students of all abilities in middle school. Organization check in classes throughout the year will also be available to help you stay on track and keep yourself organized the whole year! Class will begin with introductions and learning a little bit more about each other. We will then discuss our next year schedule and start by labeling folders by class. We will move to Google Drive and do the same thing there! I'll share tips and tricks on how to keep their Drive organized and looking neat! I will also give tips on how to best use a paper planner to stay on top of assignments. Please see the learner supply list for recommended materials to obtain before attending this class.
Learning Goals
Students will improve executive functioning skills like organization and learn how to stay organized in a fun, meaningful way that they can directly apply to their lives.

For this class you will need: -a calendar/planner for the whole school year (2022-2023) -your class schedule for the year -a Google account -different colored folders for each class you are taking this year *Colored pens are optional but are my favorite tool for making organization fun!! **If you are looking for affordable options, my go-to stores are Walmart, Target, and the Dollar Tree!

Hi everyone! My name is Emily Freda and I am so excited to be teaching on Outschool! I can't wait to share my love of reading and life skills with you! I graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Special Education and a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction. I currently teach high school Reading and English in Virginia. I believe that learning should be fun, and that everyone deserves to learn! I am excited to welcome learners of all ages and abilities to my classes. Fun facts about me - my favorite color is yellow, I could eat pasta every day and not get tired of it, and I grew up in New Jersey!
