In this intensive writing class we will be practicing how to use the writing process and other writing strategies to think more strategically about writing. Throughout this five day class, students will be creating a five paragraphs, one page story. They will be expected to work through the writing process in and out of class, and will be able to work at their own pace. The goal is to share our stories, and then look at some strategies and tips to improve our writing. I like a supportive...
Students will improve their understanding of the writing process, and will grow confident in their ability to write a good short story.
In between classes students should work on their paper, completing the next step of the writing process.
Students will need access to a device on which they can type and upload their stories. They can also use a pencil and paper in class for notes/rough drafts.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
4 hours 35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
