Description

Class Experience

In this ongoing class students will learn a new short vowel sound each week! This is a great class for students who are beginning to learn to read. They should know letter names, sounds, and be working on reading short words like bat, met, him, etc. 

This class is designed to highly encouraging with confidence and skills boosted! Reading can often be intimidating, so I encourage students, I never demand. My hope is that each student enjoys coming to class and learning to read, which leads...

This class is taught in English.

A whiteboard and marker work best when "building words", but paper and a pencil will work as well.

Students will need to print the weekly reading passage (one page)

Students should have crayons or highlighters as well as a pencil to write with.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
