Description
Class Experience
(1) Basic primitives of Java Programming language and data types. (2) Write several Java programs in our hands-on labs and have a working live environment for your future coding work. (3) Learn basics of object oriented programming. (4) Implement control and decision flow in programs.
Our teachers are certified in one or more states and have taught AP Computer Science for many years. They currently teach full year AP Computer Science A classes with 2Sigma School and are well equipped to get Outschool students started on the AP CSA journey that they can complete at their local schools.
Students will be given about an hour of pre-work for each session that will include watching pre-recorded videos, reading online textbooks, and completing programming exercises. This will allow students to get the most out of their time with the instructor.
Students will create a portfolio of their work on a browser-based IDE that they will create throughout the class. This will include several visually engaging programs.
6 hours per week in class, and an estimated 4+ hours per week outside of class.
