Description

Class Experience

This is a course for students who have completed elementary education to grade 5 and who are entering 6th or 7th grade math this fall.

Week 1 (Week of July 4)- Multiplication and division strategies
Week 2 (Week of July 11) - Fraction Operations Review (+, -, x, /)
Week 3 (Week of July 18) - Decimal Operation Review/Decimal Fraction Connection
Week 4 (Week of July 25th) - Exponents and Operations with Large Numbers
Week 5 (Week of August 1st) - A focus on "squares" and area (a bit of...

Students will also receive practice to complete outside of class in Outschool messaging.  Completion is recommended, but that is up to each individual student.

A math notebook (can be an old one with extra blank pages) brought and used in each class.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:KhanAcademy
IXL

1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
