US Grade 3
This class is designed for learners who are going to enter grade 3 in the coming school year and interested to continue with our on-going Singapore Math classes after summer. This is a preview of important topics of grade 3, learners will get to have an idea of how Grade 3 Math will be like in the new school year. Teaching Method: Learners are provided with different visual ways of looking at math with the Singapore Bar Models approach. The learning journey begins with the concrete and pictorial stages, followed by the abstract stage to enable them to learn mathematics meaningfully. This approach encourages advanced (higher-order) thinking process, communication of mathematical ideas and problem solving. Contents are written by Math Educators and Play therapists who have been teaching Singapore Math over 15 years. Class Flow: 30 minutes lesson and practices 15 minutes interactive fun math games Each week (2 classes) will work on one particular topic with different focus. Day 1 focus: concept and understanding Day 2 focus: mental math and speed The class will follow the following schedule *Topics repeat every 4 weeks*: ☀️June 10- July 5☀️ week of June 10 place value and numbers within 10000 week of June 17 Addition & Subtracting 4 digits & word problems week of June 24 Multiplication, word problems 6,7,8,9 week of July 1 Division & review ☀️July 8 - August 2☀️ week of July 8 place value and numbers within 10000 week of July 15 Addition & Subtracting 4 digits & word problems week of July 22 Multiplication, word problems 6,7,8,9 week of July 29 Division & review ☀️August 5 - August 30☀️ week of August 5 place value and numbers within 10000 week of August 12 Addition & Subtracting 4 digits & word problems week of August 19 Multiplication, word problems 6,7,8,9 week of August 26 Division & review

Materials will be provided before class digitally, learners are required to have a printed copy ready for class.

We're a group of passionate educators who have Mathematics and/or Science related degrees and passed the Mentorhood Teacher Training which specialized in online teaching and the Singapore Bar Modelling method.

**Attendance & Absence Policy**
Planned Absence: Families inform us at least 24 hours before class, the class will be refunded or rescheduled. Teacher will not be paid for that refunded class.
Sick Leave: Families inform us at least 24 hours before class, the class will be refunded or rescheduled. Teacher will not be paid for that refunded class.
If 24 hours in advance is not possible, that sick leave will be taken as an emergency.
Emergency: Families inform us as soon as possible before class, the class will be refunded or rescheduled. Teacher will not be paid for that refunded class.

If your learner has not joined the meeting 10 minutes after the class’s start time, the meeting will be canceled. This is considered a missed meeting and you are not entitled to a refund.
