1 hour per week. Students are given two additional scavenger hunts to complete at home, which will be reviewed during class time.Class Experience
Education is critical, but not enough art classes make any student antsy. In this 3-week course, we will get out of our sets and photograph. Before the scavenger hunt, we started the class by learning composition skills before, during, and after the game. You'll be able to move around to collect images while asking me any questions along the way. We'll have a couple of scavenger hunts in a fun-filled class within three sessions. Ultimately, students can share ideas and gain knowledge in any environment. Day 1: We'll get to know each other and learn the functions of your Android, iPhone, or iPad, picking an editing app to use. I'm willing to adapt, so we can use any camera you want. Next, we'll discuss composition and photographic techniques to help your images go further. After the lesson, you'll have your first short scavenger hunt. You'll be sent home with another group of photos to collect for day 2. Day 2: We'll review your first scavenger hunt and see what we can learn from it. After choosing the next scavenger hunt topic, we'll edit images using photograph apps related to the classes and the device used. Day 3: We begin class by examining the images created during the week. Like my other classes, I will adapt the course as best as possible, for the student as best as possible. For me, a fun learning environment is necessary. Students may have a challenging experience sitting in front of the computer. Within the next few weeks, I will rotate verbal lessons with photographic practice to give students a well-rounded experience. **Please let me know if you are still looking for an available time for your learner. I do my best to schedule classes, but am willing to schedule on weekday mornings, afternoons, or evenings if requested.**
Learning Goals

With a strong passion for art education and a decade of experience in teaching and photography, I am excited about working in the creative environment of Art education.
From 2013-2020, I had the privilege of teaching photography at the Palm Beach Photography Centre. This experience not only honed my instructional skills but also deepened my understanding of the value of fostering creativity and artistic expression in children and adults. My tenure there allowed me to witness firsthand the transformative power of art education on young minds.
In addition to my teaching role, I dedicated time to enrich myself in K-13 education further. Working as a substitute teacher, I immersed myself in various classrooms, learning from seasoned educators and adopting diverse teaching strategies. This experience, combined with my background as a practicing photographer, uniquely equips me to bridge the gap between theory and practice, inspiring students to explore their artistic talents and push their creative boundaries.
I am drawn to online education for its reputation as an institution that values innovative teaching methods and encourages students to embrace artistic experimentation. I am excited about the prospect of contributing and helping students develop not only as skilled artists but also as critical thinkers and confident individuals.
I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Journalism and Communications and a focus in the Fine Arts.
