Having trouble staying on task? Always making a to-do list then forgetting where you put it? Have big goals to accomplish this year? Finding it hard to organize your social life, extra curricular activities, and school work? New to bullet journaling and not sure where to get started or how to use it to help you best? Join us weekly to help create visually pleasing and organized weekly layouts in our bullet journals. Each week in this class, we will create a different weekly layout. We will design and complete it to best fit individual goals and needs. Students will be guided step-by-step through various layouts in the hopes they find one or a few that fit them best. You can also use a variety of weekly layouts to help keep yourself engaged and interested. This is a great way to practice both the creative and analytical parts of your brain. We will begin each class by discussing some goals learners have for themselves for the month and week. We will discuss breaking those down into smaller pieces. Next, we will work through the steps to create that week's weekly layout. These will include a section for each day, a notes section, and a space for a weekly to-do list, quote or additional doodling. Then, we will discuss filling out the daily slots with items from our calendar and what we need to accomplish this week. Last, we will reference the goals from the beginning of class and how to layout those smaller pieces within the weekly layout. Week 1: Horizontal Week 2: Vertical Week 3: Dutch Door Week 4: Horizontal Half-Page (These are not specific names, but merely descriptive) Learners must have some form of journal and writing utensils, their choice.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, my name is Cassandra Antognazzi and I have always had a passion for education. I have a Bachelor's degree from Elmira College in Secondary Education with a middle school extension and English Literature. While working in the classroom, I also earned my license for middle school Social Studies. I taught middle school ELA for four years and am currently working as the College and Career Coordinator at my local Boys and Girls Club. I also enjoy my part time job teaching English online to children in China.
Below are a few examples of classes I will be teaching.
Language Arts: I adore both reading and writing. I will be hosting a variety of novel study classes and collections of short stories. I love helping students find connections from literature to their own lives. I also will offering classes to aid with essay writing and research papers.
Social Studies: I offer classes about various topics within the middle school curriculum including ancient cultures and the American Revolution. I have a specific passion in the mythology of Egyptian and Greek cultures.
Creative: A creative outlet is needed for a completely well rounded education. I am passionate about both crochet and cooking. I offer basic classes about crochet from learning stitches to finishing a blanket. I will also be hosting cookie decorating classes and teaching how to cook a variety of breads.
Life Skills: In addition to being creative, I would also love to teach students about cooking from scratch. I have spent a lot of my life learning the value of meal prep, both for financial and health benefits. I also enjoy using Google Drive and will be hosting crash courses for using the different tools Google provides for free that can help with organization and be accessed from multiple places.
I look forward to seeing you in the virtual classroom!
