This class is all about getting yourself into a writing groove by participating in guided writing exercises and games. Each week we will spend the entire 30 minutes writing based on prompts or scenarios that I present. Here are a few examples of the kinds of writing exercises we will be doing: Prompts: I will present a prompt to get you started, such as an image or sentence, and occasionally throw in a random word for you to incorporate into your story. Scenarios: I will randomly select a subject, number of characters, and personality types for those characters, and you will have to write a scene using a certain writing rule, such as, 'Each sentence must start with the next letter of the alphabet', or, 'Each sentence must be one word longer or shorter than the previous sentence'. Since the purpose of this class is to help you build a consistent writing habit, there will be no grading or feedback given, and you won't be expected to share your work with the class.
