During this class students will have a brief introduction to the artist, Vincent Van Gogh and learn about the art movement known as “Impressionism.” This will be followed by a drawing lesson in which students will draw one of Van Gogh’s most famous paintings called, “The Sunflowers.” During the first half of class students will develop the drawing in 5 progressive steps. Students will develop a drawing in 5 basic steps, followed by a coloring lesson.
Supplies: 1. 8.5 X 11sheet of paper 2. pencil 3. eraser 4. Sharpie permanent black fine tip maker 5. Crayola Markers
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
