Beginner Level
During this class students will have a brief introduction to the artist, Vincent van Gogh. We will draw one of his most famous paintings “The Starry Night” . During the first half of class students will develop a drawing in 5 progressive steps. They will learn that drawings can also be broken down into 5 basic shapes. During the second half of class, students will learn basic coloring technique. Students will learn three ways to color a finished drawing. Coloring is just as important as the drawing! Your child will be astonished by the infinity of the stars in the nighttime sky and the bright, bold colors in their completed masterpiece! It is my hope that I can instill a love for drawing as well as a sense of confidence in your young artist! The cognitive skills that they master while drawing can also be helpful when learning at school! In the materials section you will find everything that you need for this exciting class!
