Class Experience
Students will practice blending sounds to read simple CVC short i words (pig, sit, fit) while performing simple exercises. We will focus on CVC words. In my experience young students learn best while being active. In this one time class we will practice phonics sounds of the alphabet while doing simple exercises. I will show a slide show with the word and a picture that represents the word. CVC words are easily decodable and they help our beginning readers feel successful when learning how...
Students will learn decodable CVC short i words. This will be a fun, laid back way for students to practice reading short i words.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
