Get Exam Ready! HS NYS Regents Physical Setting/ Chemistry Review Class

In this course, students will review concepts in preparation for the NYS regents chemistry exam. Students not enrolled in the NYS regents curriculum may also find this course helpful to prepare for the final exam in a standard-level high school chemistry course. If you have any questions regarding the best fit for your student, please feel free to reach out.

Each class is 1 hour and 15 minutes and will be broken up as follows: 
Minutes 1-30: topic 1
Minutes 31-45: practice questions
Minutes 46-75: topic 2

Notesheets will be provided for each class and are available at the start of the week for downloading and printing. A notes key will be provided at the end of each week.

Homework practice problems will be assigned at the end of each class (a key will also be provided to check their work). Students are expected to complete the questions and ask for help as needed. Students should communicate with me via the classroom page or conversations on Outschool to ask questions regarding the homework problems. Additionally, I am happy to stay behind at the end of a class period to answer questions for your student should that be required. 

Please note that while this class covers key topics on the exam, students will likely have to continue their studies outside of our meeting times to effectively prepare for the exam. I will provide guidelines to prepare for the exam to allow for students to make the most of their study efforts, but I do not check that the homework assignments are completed.
