Students will learn to make a wreath for their home. Students will create their own design, or follow my design. Students will be allowed to ask questions as needed throughout the crafting process. Step One: Wrap your frame. Step Two: Hot glue the wrap. Step Three: Add centerpiece and decorative ornaments. Step Four: Add Bow if desired. Step Five: Add Fluff Step Six: Hang your wreath.
Students will learn how to create their own beautiful, yet inexpensive, seasonal wreath.
I am a licensed, certified educator. I have also been crafting most of my life. I enjoy finding less expensive options for crafting. Crafting is an art, one that many children enjoy. I can provide a simple, fun experience for your child to learn a new craft.
I suggest purchasing all the materials needed at your local dollar store. I will attach photos of each for confirmation of what is needed. Students will need the following materials: 1. Basic wreath-your choice what kind (I use either metal or a vine wreath)(Size is your choice) 2. Enough ribbon to wrap around the entire wreath (Usually 1-2 rolls) 3. Two artificial leaf bunches (or loose leaves) and/or floral bunches (your choice) 4. A sign or centerpiece to go in the middle of the wreath if desired. Basic cheap ornaments to use as decoration on the wreath. 5. Wire cutters, scissors, hot or cold glue gun, glue for glue gun 6. Hanger or nail to hang finished product. ***For making a wreath choose seasonal colors: spring, fall, etc. (Choice of colors is yours) Here is a link to some examples of what you can choose at the store. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rnc5W8fdfYU9BrG4-NwmCQTKftF2DuIwRSkzuWVQmYc/edit?usp=sharing
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Children may use either a hot or cold glue gun as parents see fit. Use of a hot glue gun can cause burns.
