Students will learn strategies to help them feel comfortable while singing in front of audiences as well as get an opportunity to perform a song of their choice and receive praise and constructive feedback.
Required: - Before attending class, each learner should select a song they will be comfortable singing in class when it is their turn to perform. - Students can choose to sing a cappella (without any accompaniment), with an instrumental track (most popular songs have versions of these that can be found on YouTube) or while playing an instrument to accompany themselves. Please note: All songs must be age-appropriate and contain no profanity. Optional: - Students may also choose to bring a small object of their choice to hold while singing if it makes them feel more comfortable.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
