This course is a great German beginners and advanced learners class, and it is based on the "German Words for Kindergarten" immersion method. Students do not require any previous knowledge of German and every lesson starts with a new topic and new vocabulary so they can join this ongoing course at any time. This is an ongoing beginners German course and can be taken without having done 'German Words for Kindergarten'. However, learners who have participated in the Kindergarten class will find it easier to focus on reading and writing the words because they already know some of the vocabulary. Now, they will have a closer look at the necessary sounds and syllables in German in each lesson. In addition, they will learn to converse their "I do/can/like ..." sentences into "He/She/They do/can/like ..." sentences. Conjugating German verbs will enable them to communicate with others and to speak about others. I have been teaching languages for more than 15 years in public schools in Germany, France, the UK, and Canada, as well as online. In my classroom, I always encourage my learners to speak as much German as possible by creating a warm and welcoming classroom atmosphere. I love using new techniques and strategies as well as new technologies to make my lessons engaging and fun. In my lessons, I will use fun slides and activities to engage the learners. At the end of the class, students will take part in a fun quiz to test out their new skills. These are the possible topics of each lessons for the first few weeks: Week 1 from January 24th, 2022: German - Same but Different We will have a look at German words that seem to be similar to other languages but are pronounced/written differently. We will also learn a strategy how to "tackle" incredibly long German words. Week 2 from January 31st: the vowels "a,u" (Anlaute a und u, au) Week 3 from February 7th: the vowels "e,i" (Anlaute e und i, ie) Week 4 from February 14th: the vowels "o,ö" Week 5: the consonants "m,n,l" Week 6: the consonants "p, t, b, d" Week 7: the consonants "c, h, ch, sch" Week 8: the consonants: "f, pf, v, w, s, ß" Week 9: the consonants: "k,g,ck,q" Week 10: the consonants: "j, q, r" New topics will be included in the following weeks. We will cycle back after 10 weeks. Your child will learn German words and expressions quickly through immersion, role play and songs. You can join anytime, as lessons do not build upon prior weeks. I am so excited to meet your children! Bis bald (see you soon), Nadine
