This course will teach the following German vocabulary words by reading the story of „The Very Hungry Caterpillar“: Apfel (apple), Birne (pear), Pflaume (plum), Erdbeere (strawberry), Apfelsine (orange), Sonne (sun), Blatt (leaf), Raupe (caterpillar), Schmetterling (butterfly). We will start by introducing ourselves in German and quickly go over the days of the week in German. Then I will read the story and give students the chance to repeat and pronounce our vocabulary words and we will...
Students will be able to understand and pronounce the vocabulary words: Apfel, Apfelsine, Birne, Erdbeere, Pflaume, Raupe, Schmetterling, Blatt, Sonne. Students will practice to introduce themselves. Students will get familiar with the numbers 1-5 and days of the week in German. Students will listen to the story „the Very Hungry Caterpillar“ in German.
Memory Game of the vocabulary words. Children can cut out the memory game and play it with their parents, friends or siblings and try to use the German names for the pictures.
