Class Experience

In this Storytime I am going to read 2-3 chapters of the book 'Der kleine Drache Kokosnuss kommt in die Schule' by Ingo Siegner in every meeting. We will discuss words and content in German.
This class is only for learners that are fluent (for their age) in the German language.
I will not translate the words into English.
This said, if questions about the meaning of a word arise, we might translate single words to make sure that it's understood.
In the story Kokosnuss the little dragon is excited to start school. On his way to school, he meets another dragon 'Oskar' who is very sad that he is not allowed to go to school. They become best friends and manage to talk Oskar's parents to letting him try school too.
At the end he even learns how to swim and joins the class on a field trip to Tortoise Island.
It's a sweet book for kids ages 5-8, maybe 9. There are illustrations in the book on every page, so the kids get an idea on what Kokosnuss looks like and what they are up to.
There are about 40 books published in the series, but every book stands on his own and is pretty much one big adventure that Kokosnuss and his friends are experiencing.

Week 1: Der Fressdrache im Himbeerbusch, Die erste Schulstunde, Begegnung im Dschungel

Week 2: In der Höhle der Fressdrachen, Ein neuer Schüler, Oskar ist traurig

Week 3: Aufregung am Strand, Die Schildkröteninsel, End discussion
