Dive into the German language! Komm und sprich mit mir Deutsch! (Come speak German with me!) 

WEEK 1: 10 colors, Directions such as “stand up, sit down, fast, slow and turn around” and counting to 100
WEEK 2: 20 animals and Kahoot quiz.
WEEK 3: 15 human body parts. Sing “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” in German. 
WEEK 4: 20 foods and Kahoot quiz.
WEEK 5: 10 modes of transportation and "question of the week".
WEEK 6: Practice introductions, greetings, ask and answer questions such as “How old are you? How are you?” Basic communication skills such as, “Thank you, You’re welcome, Can I have bread please? Here you are.”

During these lessons students will follow along with me as if it’s a live class. I will write and draw pictures of target words while students at home do the same. Together we will create a colorful book of pictures, words and phrases that students can cherish for all time. I will model the language but also encourage students to repeat at home. 

When each class ends, students can take a picture of their work and share with the class. They can also share videos of themselves speaking to help with pronunciation.

HOMEWORK: Each week there will be a question and answer section at the end of class. Learners must share pictures of their German journal and also answer the “Question of the Week”. We will practice asking and answering 4 questions with full sentences in German.
