German Fall Forest School Course It's fall! The leaves are turning, days become shorter, and the air is cooler. How do animals in the forest prepare for the wintertime? Why do the leaves turn red, orange, and brown in the fall? Let's talk about fall in German! In this 4-week special German course, your learner will experience Forest School topics for Fall in German. The class will be held mostly in German, so students should have some prior knowledge of the language, but they do not have to be fluent or Native Speakers. If you are not sure if this is the right course for your learner, please contact me and I will assess them with your help. These are the topics that we could cover. However, ideas and contributions from students will also be acknowledged and discussed, if wanted. Day 1: The four seasons: What happens in fall? Day 2: What do animals in the forest do in fall? (e.g. birds, squirrel, fox, rabbit, bear, deer, ...) Day 3: What happens to the plants and trees in the forest in fall? Day 4: Quiz and stories Additional activities: - Scavenger hunt for a Nature Walk (as a "homework") - art project - maths activity - games - show and tell This is an educational, fun opportunity for immersive German learners or German-speaking learners to talk (and read/write for older students) about fall, animals, and trees.
