In this private class, we will use materials that the learner, their families and I choose and that are compliant with Outschool policy, such as textbooks, slides, novels, games, videos, comic strips, exercise books, and more.

The class will be structured and tailored to the learner's specific needs and challenges. This is how a typical class structure could look like:
Due to the nature of this private, individual 1:1 course, the topics of each lesson will be determined through assessment before and after each session.
Possible topics for the lessons could be (in accordance with the learner/family):
Week 1 from July : Assessment, Specific (Pronunciation) Lessons and Exercises (e.g. German Articles and Cases)
Week 2 from February 14th: Re-Assessment, Special (Dialogue) Lessons and Exercises (German Articles and Cases)
Week 3 from February 21st: Re-Assessment, Special (Reading) Lessons and Exercises (German Sentence Structure, Cases)
Week 4 from February 28th: Re-Assessment, Special (Writing) Lessons and Exercises (German Sentence Structure, Cases)

This is the possible structure of a Private Tutoring Lesson:
- Check-in and Short Assessment
- Lecture
- Exercises (Quiz, fill-in the gap, multiple choice, ...)
- Correction
- Discussing Challenges
- Plan for the next lesson
- Homework

- If learners like to discuss homework/their own materials, please upload the materials/documents at least 24 hours before the class starts to ensure that the teacher can prepare accordingly for a successful lesson.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
The teacher will use google slides during the lessons for new vocabulary, for example. It is not necessary for this class to set up a google account for the learner. If the teacher and the family decide to use text books and exercise books, the family will need to buy their own copy. In this class, we will occasionally use Nearpod, Canva and Kahoot Quizzes through a link that the teacher shares with the learner. The learner will not need to sign in. In addition, we will use a Google document for written assignments and vocabulary. Occasionally, the teacher will share educational, appropriate youtube videos to provide additional material.
