In this semester class, I will walk students through the skills needed to understand and confidently answer problems in Geometry. I will demonstrate the steps needed to solve the problem and have the students watch. Then the students will work through several problems with me and be encouraged to talk me through solving the problems. After this, students will be able to do our last few problems of the class on their own using the steps we've practiced. 

As students get stuck or held up on a problem, we will use it as a time to encourage them and help them figure out the next step to solve. 

Worksheets will be provided for students to work on but are not required to turn in. 

Unit 1: Tools of Geometry
- Week 1 : Nets/Drawings, Points, Lines, Planes, Measuring Segments
- Week 2  : Measuring Angles, Exploring Angle Pairs, Quiz
- Week 3  : Basic Constructions, Midpoint/Distance
- Week 4  : Perimeter/Circumference/Area and Test

Unit 2: Reasoning and Proof
- Week 5  : Patterns and Inductive Reasoning, Conditional Statements, Biconditionals Statements and Definitions
- Week 6  : Quiz, Deductive Reasoning, Reasoning in Algebra and Geometry
- Week 7  : Proving Angles Congruent, Test

Unit 3: Parallel and Perpendicular Lines
- Week 8 : Lines and Angles, Properties of Parallel Lines, Proving Lines Parallel
- Week 9 : Parallel and Perpendicular Lines, Parallel Lines and Triangles, Quiz
- Week 10  :  Constructing Parallel and Perpendicular Lines, Slopes of Parallel and Perpendicular Lines, Test

Unit 4: Congruent Triangles
- Week 11  :  Congruent Figures, Triangle Congruence SSS and SAS
- Week 12  : Triangle Congruence ASA and AAS/Quiz
- Week 13  : Using Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles, Isosceles and Equilateral Triangles
- Week 14 : Congruence in Right Triangles, Congruence in Overlapping Triangles/Test

Unit 5: Relationships Within Triangles
- Week 15  : Mid-segments of Triangles, Perpendicular and Angle Bisectors, Bisectors in Triangles 
- Week 16  : Bisectors in Triangles, Medians and Altitudes, Quiz
- Week 17  : Indirect Proof, Inequalities in One Triangle and Two Triangles
- Week 18  : Review, Test
