Description

Class Experience

Because of the nature of this class, I can provide different start dates.  Please reach out if you would like a different start date.

This is a flex class.  That means that there are no live classes but there will be teacher interaction.   Each week, I will post the week’s lessons and assignments in the form of videos, Nearpod Lessons and Desmos lessons depending on the concepts. I am a licensed high school math teacher with a Masters of Mathematics.  I love teaching math and enjoy the learning journey with students.

The homework will be assigned at the beginning of each week as part of the lesson material.

Curriculum will be provided from the instructor.  A printer is required to print notes/assignments.  A graphing calculator such as a TI-84 is recommended or else you can use an online graphing calculator such as Desmos or other apps.   Paper, pencil, graph paper and if desired a whiteboard, marker and eraser to work out problems.  A protractor may be printed. A compass and protractor are also required.

Assessments will be provided.  Students are expected to use them as a learning opportunity and for self-assessment.  If you would like a grade for this class, then assessments will be given in a more formal manner.

No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
