This Math course covers the fundamental Geometry and Trigonometry skills and concepts essential for early high school learners. Learners will develop these skills in a systematic and interactive way, through the model-guide-practice process. Lessons will also include the use of the online graphing calculator GeoGebra, as required. Learners are encouraged to participate in the lesson, make connections with the previous skills, ask questions for clarification and identify possible / most common errors and correct them. By the end of each lesson, learners will complete a set of exercises with full solutions edited in accordance with the correct standards of Math communication. These examples can be then used for reference when completing further independent practice / homework or when reviewing / studying for a test. Semester 2 Geometry Course Outline: Properties of Parallelograms. Special cases. Trapezoids and Kites. Proportionality Theorems The Pythagorean Theorem Special Right Triangles The Tangent ratio The Sine and Cosine ratios Solving Right Triangles Law of Sines and Law of Cosines Circles: Segments and Arcs Chords and Angles in Circles Circles in the Coordinate Plane Arc length and area of sectors. Surface Area and Volume of Cylinders Surface area and Volume of Cones Surface area and Volume of Spheres Please, message me if you have any question. I am looking forward to help you or your child succeed in Math!
