In this 5-day Geometry Camp, we will be exploring all things SHAPES! Each day learners will do a different activity to practice vocabulary and identify/create 2D and 3D shapes. The 2D shapes we will focus on in this camp are: triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, and hexagons. The 3D shapes we will focus on are: cubes, rectangular prisms, cones, and circular cylinders. In this class, your learner will learn a lot about geometry while having a lot of fun! Here is a breakdown of the concepts that will be taught each day: Day 1: Geometry Vocabulary Foldable Day 2: Identifying 2D shapes Day 3: Identifying 3D shapes Day 4: Marshmallow and toothpick shapes Day 5: Press Your Luck! Review Game!

Parental guidance is suggested when learners are using scissors.

Hello there! My name is Miss Samantha and I can't wait to be your child's Outschool teacher! I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I hold an Arizona K-8 Teaching Certificate. I have 8 years of teaching experience and I have been teaching online for the last 3 years! I have experience teaching students between the ages of 7 and 13 in all core subjects as well as English as a Second Language. I also have experience with small group instruction and tutoring. My passion lies with teaching math, science, and baking. I love making math enjoyable and approachable for students! While teaching, it is very important to me to appeal to all different Lerners and guide them in a way that will help them on their journey to being successful mathematicians! In my free time I love to cook, bake, and do woodworking projects with my husband! I have a 4 year old son and I am a dog mom to 2 sweet dogs named Blitz and Gracie.
