In this class, learners will be given guided practice problems to solve involving finding the area of compound shapes. Compound shapes consist of large shapes comprised of whole or parts of other shapes. This should not be the learner's first exposure to this mathematical concept. Learners will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Strategies to find answers will be demonstrated as needed. Learners should be proficient with adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing before attending this class. Please schedule carefully, as missed classes will not be rescheduled or refunded.

Learners should bring something to write with, such as paper/pencil or a whiteboard, to each class meeting.
