Beginner Level
Welcome to Geometry for Beginners! This class will cover the basics over lots of different 3D shapes. We will cover: the cube, triangular prism, rectangular prism, hexagonal prism, and finally the trapezoidal prism. A paper will be available for your learner to build their very own 3D shape! Other items needed will be a whiteboard and marker, or a pencil and paper/notebook. They will be learning about faces, edges, and vertices and can take notes along the way. We will also be discussing the differences between 2D and 3D. Some shapes will have the ability for learners to learn how to draw as well.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Education from Ambassador Baptist College
Hi! My name is Natalie and I love teaching. I have over 15 years' experience in learning and teaching ASL with both children and adults. I recently got my certificate in ASL. I also graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 2010. In 2024, I passed my Praxis in English and Social Studies. Previously, I taught high school History, Sign Language, and Gym class for a year.
Why do I love teaching? I think every child deserves a chance to succeed no matter what. Each child learns differently and being able to adapt and change a lesson to make sure they fully comprehend a concept before moving on is so important.
