The Geometry course is structured into four quarters with nine, one-hour sessions per quarter. The second quarter covers key concepts including, triangle inequalities, angles of polygons, properties of parallelograms, rectangles, and more. The classes are designed for students ages 13-18 and are relevant to students who need challenged in their current math studies, including 9th grade students who would benefit from support, and 10th -12th grade students who need a review of their foundational understanding of Geometry concepts. Homework is not required, however problem exercises are available for students who would like the additional practice. 2nd Quarter concepts covered include: • Triangle Inequalities • Inequalities in two triangles • Angles of Polygons • Properties of Parallelograms • Conditions for Parallelograms • Rectangles • Rhombi and Squares • Trapezoids • Kites Classes are open to six students maximum and are accessed via the Zoom Platform. It is not necessary for students to attend all four quarters to participate in the classes, however it is suggested that you have proficiency enough to meet the topics covered in the first quarter of this course.

My name is John Saenz. I am a father of four and a teacher and administrator of 25 years. I have helped develop the curriculum for two different schools, one a classical school in Nashville (St. Pius X Classical Academy) and a Diocesan parochial school in Georgia (St. Catherine of Siena a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence). I hold a bachelors degree in Music Education and a masters degree in Music Performance. I hold certifications in music education for grades K-12 and math grades 6-9. I have also had the pleasure of teaching homeschool with two of my children and consider it my best and most enjoyable year as a teacher. I live in Kennesaw, Georgia with my wife Charissa and my four children, Michael, Isabella, Evelyn, and Cecilia.
