Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Gain an introduction to the many branches and fields of geology through hands on science experiments, creative art projects, discussion, specimen identification, slideshows, and games. Erupt volcanoes while learning about the rock cycle, create fossils while learning about paleontology, learn to identify rocks and fossils, test minerals, or build a landform diorama.

At the beginning of each class, there will be an opportunity for introductions, sharing, and guided discussion. Students may bring items to class to share related to geology such as rocks, crystals, fossils, geodes, a rock tumbler, rock books, rock art, etc.
