Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Jessica—my students call me Ms. Jessica. I've been an online educator since 2020, and my passion for teaching is deeply rooted in both my academic background and personal journey.

I hold a B.S. in Management and Leadership (2016) and went on to pursue a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Special Education. During that time, I also made the choice to homeschool my children, which gave me firsthand insight into creating engaging and flexible learning experiences.

When it comes to teaching I have years of substitute teaching experience and online teaching (5 years). When pursuing my Masters of Teaching in Special Education I did intensive courses on reading intervention and ways to help struggling students and have been able to apply that when homeschooling my own kids and tutoring others.

My personal life has greatly influenced how I teach. My younger brother has Autism, and my oldest son has Down syndrome. These experiences have shaped my understanding of diverse learning needs and helped me create inclusive, supportive environments where every student can thrive.

I offer classes that reflect my passions and the interests I share with my kids—ranging from earth science and bird watching to interactive book clubs. I believe learning should be joyful, meaningful, and tailored to each child's strengths.

I can't wait to learn and explore with your learner!
